The US government has run amok! Our economy is in shambles with our Debt Ceiling front page news almost every day. Each and every American is sick and tired of our bickering “leaders” who cannot seem to agree on anything except enriching themselves.

Almost every government agency is a complete mess, corruption and collusion are rampant. Americans want change!

The timing of this book is perfect! The public is clamoring for answers and demanding accountability from their elected officials in light of the many problematic issues facing our nation. If I Were Your King is a satirical expose of America which is thoroughly researched, generously sprinkled with eye opening facts, including published articles, citings from historical documents, relevant quotes, witty observations, pithy parables, and regal humor. The King’s vernacular is bawdy Olde English at times as he relates many of his observations using comical medieval similarities.

The King does not take political sides or fanatical religious viewpoints. He is a staunch American who believes in the visions of the Founding Fathers, and that the U.S. Constitution and The Declaration of Independence are the premise from which the kingdom should be governed. The King is benevolent towards his law abiding subjects and harsh with those who would harm the realm. Throughout the book it is evident The King wishes only the best for the kingdom and his citizens. He takes no pay, is charmingly self deprecating, and his rule is for only a single day.

The King’s goal is to right the wrongs of the country’s educational, financial, social, legal, criminal, governmental, business, and other systems while at the same time trying to shake his subjects (American citizens) awake to make them realize that this kingdom belongs to them, and that they are unwittingly letting it go to down the drain.

For those who read If I Were Your King there will be plenty of revelations, chuckles, reflections, and epiphanies. It will also cause readers to re-examine the freedoms which they have been accorded as a citizen of this land.
