Congratulations Mr. Obama. Earn It!

Never in modern U.S. history has a president-elect been bestowed with a more perfectly set stage of opportunity and invitation for greatness.

With an economy teetering on (depending on who you talk to) a full scale recession to an outright depression, a Grand Canyonesque chasm separating the haves and have-nots, greed and excess on Wall Street that has surpassed anything the world has ever seen, millions of Americans facing outright bankruptcy – not to mention the loss of their homes, and an overall sense of despair in a land more accustomed to being the bastion of light and hope.

Pointing fingers at this stage in the game is a hollow feeling but I feel it must be done. The Bush administration policies have drug this country through the mud, and we’re all the dirtier for it. With another seventy-something days left in office, in reality all that is left for the sitting president is the shuffling away from the White House like an ejected house guest who has disgraced and embarrassed himself beyond reproach. That and the pardons I’m betting he’ll be doling out without reserve or repent.

Barack Hussein Obama is in many people’s minds, from this day forward, the President of the United States of America! Such a heady post and title. I remember two years ago watching Barack give that memorable speech at the Democratic Convention and saying to the person in the room with me something like, “I don’t know who that guy is but anyone who can speak like that has a great political future in front of him…,” and then watching the replaying of that speech the next day thinking, maybe he’s even got a shot at the White House in 2012. Little did any of us know then that we were watching a phenomenon of historical proportions, and he was just getting warmed up.

As I watched Mr. Obama delivering his acceptance speech tonight (no surprise it was another inspiring one) it dawned on me that all those tens of thousands of teary and hopeful eyes in the crowd staring up at Barack, truly believed he is the one who is going to lead them out of the mire onto more solid footing. Mr. Obama spoke about doing his best to bring positive change, he spoke about uniting the country, he inspired the crowd with his words, he was not self-congratulatory, he asked for help. He was Presidential.

To be honest, Barack was not my candidate of choice (neither was McCain for that matter) but I have a funny feeling that he’ll follow through on many of those things he has promised. I think he’ll bring Americans back some of their lost pride in America. I think he will be respected by leaders of other countries, and not the subject of ridicule by their citizens. I think he will ultimately do us proud.

As grass roots campaigns go, his was probably closer to an actual lawn than any other in our presidential history. Barack’s millions of small time donors and local supporters were the wave on which he rode and he has a duty to honor their efforts. This brings me to recall a particular scene in the movie Saving Private Ryan when Tom Hanks’ character Captain Miller says to Matt Damon who plays Private Ryan, a paratrooper trapped behind enemy lines, and whose brothers have all been killed in battle, that he is being pulled out of the war on the direct orders of the Secretary of War. Tom Hanks relates that during the mission to find him, many of his own men had been lost. Later, after a final brutal battle, Tom Hanks is mortally wounded and pulls Matt Damon close to him and tells him to “earn it,” referring to the effort of those that sacrificed themselves so he would live.

Mr. Barack Obama, many millions have given you what they little they could; their modest contributions, their time, their votes, but more importantly, all those millions have given you their hope. Earn it.

U.S. Troops In Homeland “Crowd Control” Patrols From October 1st

My fellow citizens; Be Prepared, Be Afraid. Our beloved Republic is leaning closer to a Fascist government than ever in history.
Please read this reprinted article then write your representative in Washington to demand a repeal of this action, or face the possibility of US troops patrolling your streets to protect the crooks on Wall Street and in Washington from YOU!

U.S. Troops In Homeland “Crowd Control” Patrols From October 1st

U.S. troops returning from duty in Iraq will be carrying out homeland patrols in America from October 1st in complete violation of Posse Comitatus for the purposes of helping with “civil unrest and crowd control” - which could include dealing with unruly Americans after a complete economic collapse.

This shocking admission was calmly reported on September 8th by the Army Times website, which reports that from the beginning of next month the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team “Will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.”

The article notes that the deployment “marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.”

The purpose of the unit’s patrols includes helping “with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.”

The unit will be on homeland patrol for at least 20 months before returning to Iraq or Afghanistan in early 2010, according to the report.

Training for homeland operations has already begun at Fort Stewart and at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.

Ominously, the report states that, “The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.”

The unit would also be deployed to deal with hostile crowds of Americans in the aftermath of a massive economic depression, potential food riots and race riots, if one defines the term “crowd control” to match its reasonably applicable scenarios.

The open admission that U.S. troops will be involved in law enforcement operations as well as potentially using non-lethal weapons against American citizens is a complete violation of the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act, which substantially limit the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement unless under precise and extreme circumstances.

Section 1385 of the Posse Comitatus Act states, “Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.”

Under the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, signed by President Bush on October 17, 2006, the law was changed to state, “The President may employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United States the President determines hinders the execution of laws or deprives people of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.”

However, these changes were repealed in their entirety by HR 4986: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, reverting back to the original state of the Insurrection Act of 1807.

The original text of the Insurrection Act severely limits the power of the President to deploy troops within the United States.

For troops to be deployed, a condition has to exist that, “(1) So hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or (2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.”

Is the Bush administration and Northcom waiting for such a scenario to unfold, an event that completely overwhelms state authorities, before unleashing the might of the U.S. Army against the American people?

The deployment of National Guard troops to aid law enforcement or for disaster relief purposes is legal under the authority of the governor of a state, but using active duty U.S. Army in law enforcement operations inside America absent the conditions described in the Insurrection Act is completely illegal.

With the promise of an “October surprise” on behalf of Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda being bandied about by the media and the potential for civil unrest should a complete collapse of the U.S. economy unfold, the presence of U.S. troops inside America, returning fresh from kicking down doors, arresting “insurgents” and taking them to internment camps in Iraq, should put Americans on alert and provoke urgent questions about the legality of U.S. Army units engaging in law enforcement operations against American citizens.

The Energy NON-Crisis

Lindsey Williams talks about his first hand knowledge of Alaskan oil reserves larger than any on earth. And he talks about how the oil companies and U.S. government won't send it through the pipeline for U.S. citizens to use.

Transfer of Wealth

For the last few months, we have seen commercials from T. Boone Pickens, and campaign ads from both Obama and McCain warning us about “the largest transfer of wealth in history..” in reference to our addiction to foreign oil.

The truth is: For the last 7 1/2 years we HAVE seen the largest transfer of wealth in history but this transfer of wealth is to the already wealthiest people in the US .

The average taxpayer has suffered the loss of; jobs, inflation adjustments on income, home equity, life’s savings, retirement savings, and quality of retirement (if able to retire at all). Yet that wise old banker Bernanke said the Treasury plan should have taxpayers (that means YOU!) buy the assets and hold them at close to their maturity value. In other words, he wants YOU to buy these nearly worthless assets that no one else in their right mind would buy.

Furthermore he went on to say “Removing the assets, would bring liquidity back to markets, unfreeze credit markets, reduce uncertainty and allow banks to attract private capital. We cannot impose punitive measures on institutions that choose to sell assets. The beneficiaries would be not just the companies selling, but markets and the overall economy.”

What he is telling you, Mr./Mrs./Ms. Average American Citizen is that it is YOU who should pay for the gross malfeasance of the current White House administration and those crooks on Wall Street.

Why should I have to pay for their incompetence you ask? The answer my fellow Americans is easy if you have been paying attention for the last eight-tenths of a decade. It's because our bankers are too big a fish to fry! Yes, that's right! So…. it is YOU that must fry in their place.

This whole financial mess did not need to take place. It was not pre-ordained. It happened because of greed on a monumental scale. All sanctioned by YOUR representatives in Washington .

As a voter, you have a choice of who you vote into office.

WAKE UP AMERICA !

HELL-ary's Mouth!

If you think Hell-ary's nasty and arrogant attitude is bad now...just imagine what she would be like as the leader of the free world. Here are a few examples of her kind words to those to those lowly ones she sees as beneath her:

"Where is the G-dam f***ing flag? I want the G-dam f***ing flag up every f***ing morning at f***ing sunrise."From the book "Inside The White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 244 (Hillary to the staff at the Arkansas Governor's mansion on Labor Day, 1991)

"You sold out, you m***er-f***er! You sold out!" From the book "Inside" by Joseph Califano, p. 213 - (Hillary yelling at a Democrat lawyer.)

"F*** off! It's enough that I have to see you sh**-kickers every day, I'm not going to talk to you too!! Just do your G*dam job and keep your mouth shut." From the book "American Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p. 90 - (Hillary to her State Trooper body-guards after one of them
greeted her with "Good Morning.")

"You f** *ing idiot." From the book "Crossfire" p. 84 - (Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event.)

"If you want to remain on this detail, get your f***ing ass over here and grab those bags!" From the book "The First Partner" p. 259 - (Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.)

"Get f***ed! Get the f*** out of my way!!! Get out of my face!" From the book "Hillary's Scheme" p. 89 - (Hillary's various comments to her Secret Service detail agents.)

"Stay the f*** back, stay the f*** away from me! Don't come within ten yards of me, or else! Just f***ing do as I say, Okay?" From the book "Unlimited Access", by Clinton FBI Agent in Charge, Gary Aldrige, p. 139

"Where's the miserable c**k sucker?" (Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail) From the book "The Truth About Hillary" by Edward Klein, p. 5 - (Hillary shouting at a Secret Service officer)

"Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those sunglasses. We need to go back!" From the book "Dereliction of Duty" p. 71-72 - (Hillary to Marine One helicopter pilot to turn back while enroute to Air Force One.)

"Son of a bitch." (Hillary's opinion of President George W. Bush when she found out he secretly visited Iraq just days before her highly publicized trip to Iraq.) From the book "American Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p. 259

"What are you doing inviting these people into my home? These people are our enemies! They are trying to destroy us!" (Hillary screaming to an aide, when she found out that some Republicans hadbeen invited to the Clinton White House) From the book "The Survivor" by John Harris, p. 99

"Come on Bill, put your d**k up! You can't f*** her here!!" (Hillary to Gov. Clinton when she spots him talking with an attractive female at an Arkansas political rally.) From the book "Inside the White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 243

"You know, I'm going to start thanking the woman who cleans the restroom in the building I work in. I'm going to start thinking of her as a human being." From the book "The Case against Hillary Clinton" by Peggy Noonan, p. 55

"We just can't trust the American people to make those types of choices....Government has to make those choices for people. " (Hillary to Rep. Dennis Hastert in 1993 discussing her expensive, disastrous taxpayer-funded health care plan.) From the book "I've Always Been A Yankee Fan" by Thomas D. Kuiper, p. 20

This ill-tempered, violent, foul- mouthed, hateful, abusive, woman wants to be your President. The important question is: Do you really want HER?

So?

On March 19, 2008 Veep Cheney gave an interview with Martha Raddatz of ABC in which he indicated last year’s surge was a “major success.” The Dick stated, “On the security front, I think there's a general consensus that we've made major progress, that the surge has worked. That's been a major success.”

Martha then asked The Dick about recent polls showing that two-thirds of Americans say the fight in Iraq is not worth it. The Dick replied, “So?”

Stunned, Martha Raddatz responded, “You don't care what the American people think?" The Dick answered back, "You can't be blown off course by polls." He tried to smooth that asinine comment over by adding, "This president is very courageous and determined to go the course. There has been a huge fundamental change and transformation for the better. That's a huge accomplishment."

I’ve got another question for The Dick. “Just who in the hell do you think you work for?” Wait, before you say something that is really going to piss me off, let me answer for you. You work for me! And every other American! All of us insignificant peons whom you can’t be bothered to be “blown off course” by.

It is high time you high and mighty in office come to realize that EVERY ONE OF YOU who are elected to office, work for us, the voters, who put you there on our behalf. Although you may draw a paycheck that has the US Government as the payer, remember this quote by former US Attorney William Weld, “There is no such thing as government money - only taxpayer money."

That’s right. We are your employer. It is to us you owe your loyalty and servitude. So… the next time you see a poll taken by your employers saying that two-thirds of us do not agree with what you are doing, you had better wipe that nasty little Darth Vader smirk off your face and pay attention!

In the event The Dick does not agree with me, I have only one thing to say to him. “So?”

"That's interesting. I hadn't heard that."

When President George was taking questions today regarding U.S. economic woes (ones his administration are primarily responsible for) and asked about the prospect of $4 a gallon gas prices, he uttered with typical Dubya wisdom, "That's interesting. I hadn't heard that."

This coming from the same intellectual dwarf, who defies even his own personally appointed Chairman of the Fed, in viewing an impending recession with all prevailing indices at his disposal. Bush’s theory of economics states, “we’re only going through a slow down.” As akin to a skydiver whose tangled chute is slowed down, Mr. Prez?

I myself subscribe to the Rip Van Winkle theory of economics..I’ll just fall asleep and wake up 20 years from now when this whole Bush fiasco is but a bad dream.

Congress Throws America An Underhanded Slider

I cannot believe the United States Congress actually finds the time to waste our tax dollars over whether an athlete used steroids or not!! Why don't we just clone another Adolf Hitler and goose step our country straight to hell!! With all the other pressing issues this country has, do we really give a hoot that Roger Clemens or Barry Bonds or any "professional athlete" takes performance enhancing drugs? For God's sake! Wouldn't finding Osama or taking care of our war wounded in a more humane and appreciative manner be a better way for all those Congessional moneygrubbing/drunk driving/bad credit/bribe receiving, SOBs to use the money we waste on them, rather than to question a beloved American as to his honesty?

I love the way our own government uses the media to throw sliders at us. It's like magic!! Watch my right hand (drag a decent, well known!!!! American, like Roger Clemens before Congress and question his honesty) so we're distracted from what the wicked left hand is doing!!!!!!

Are You Ready For Phase II of the Billary Dynasty?

Bill Clinton is once again showing the first signs of his true self. Mr. Magnanimous World Humanitarian is basically just a liar when you peel back all his slippery layers. Granted, he is probably the world’s most astute politician, and if that is what you want for your country’s leader er…I mean First Man, by all means. And Hillary is doing a fine job of showing us she is cut from the same cloth. Together, they are bringing the Presidential election campaign process to new lows of gamesmanship, not to mention integrity.

Bill is proving himself as one of the most effective hatchet men in national election history. As I sit back and watch the workings of the Clinton machine in action, I’m in awe…and a bit embarrassed. Embarrassed that a former President has no low that is too low in order to get his ethical twin elected; embarrassed that a former American President, who should be demonstrating the prestige of his former office, knows no shame. Even Bush Sr. did not have the temerity to belittle his nincompoop son’s opponents during Jr.’s two campaigns.

Hill too is proving uncannily astute at deflecting criticism and blame, just as Slick Willy did in his heyday, “I did not have sex with that woman...” Hillary’s current mantra, “..it is me who is running for office, not my husband..”, however it is the latter who has been left behind in South Carolina to plant the seeds of divisiveness and race, not to mention taking the political heat, while the Mrs. is off in search of bigger game.

With the looming possibility of Hill and Bill – Billary – in the White House again, we must face the fact that the only “change” we are going to get in government is which sex wears the pants in the family.

Wake up America; if you elect Hill for office, you are also electing Bill. Is that what you really want?

How Is It That A Halfrican American Can Be Successfully Promoted As “Black?”

How Is It That A Halfrican American Can Be Successfully Promoted As “Black?”

I really like Barack Obama. Although my political leanings are far more Libertarian than Democrat, Sen. Obama has a lot going for him and he is by far the most dynamic of all the current batch of Presidential candidates. He may not be my choice for the Oval Office, but he certainly is the choice of millions of other concerned Americans. God Bless Him if he wins the political Super Bowl.

With that being said, why is Barack being labeled the “Black” candidate? All day long we are besieged by media pundits comparing the two democratic front-runners as a contest between a potential first woman, and a potential first black as President. As far as can be discerned, Hillary is all woman; Bill, any objections? Yet Barack Obama is only half black. He is also half white, or Caucasian, or of European descent, or whichever politically correct moniker “whites” should be labeled. Had Senator Obama had been born with predominately white features, would we even be talking about the race vs. gender race? There might be whispers about his having a black father, but those would be insensitive remarks made in back rooms.

The greatest golfer in history (in my humble opinion) had the courage to stand up and say “he wasn’t actually black.” Later when Tiger Woods was asked by Oprah on her show if it bothered him when he was referred to as an African American, he replied, “It does. Growing up, I came up with this name: I'm a 'Cablinasian.’” Tiger, whose father is half-black, one-quarter American Indian, one-quarter white, and whose Thai mother (actually half-Thai, half-Chinese) does not identify with the “black” label being applied to him, regardless of his features. "I'm just who I am," Woods told Oprah Winfrey, "whoever you see in front of you."

As far as I’m concerned, Barack Obama is who he is. And that should be the mettle on which this wonderful person should be judged, as a candidate, and as a man.

Hey Brother, Can You Spare a Rupee?

The Bush administration’s dismal economic policies have reached a new low. How low? Well let’s just say that when the mighty Indian rupee has more respect than the US dollar, our respect in the monetary world is swiftly swirling down the toilet.

For those who haven’t heard this latest gem, India's tourism minister, Ambika Soni, said Thursday that U.S. dollars will no longer be accepted at the country's heritage tourist sites, like the famed Taj Mahal.

For years the dollar was worth about 50 rupees and tourists visiting most sites in India were charged either $5 or 250 rupees. But with the dollar at a nine-year low against the rupee — falling 11 percent in 2007 alone and now hovering at around 39 rupees — that deal has become a losing proposition for the tourism industry.

According to the minister, the decision was only in part a reaction to the currency's plunging value. "Before the dollar lost its value, there was a demand to have (admission tickets) just in rupees," Soni said that charging only rupees would not only be more practical, but would save money because "the dollar was weaker against the rupee."

How do you say, “bullshit” in Hindi? This is but a glossed over attempt by the minister to politely say, “take your puny dollar and shove it!”

The Taj Mahal, India's famed white marble monument to love, which had charged tourists $15 or 750 rupees, has been refusing to accept dollars since November. The move makes visits pricier for American tourists, who now have to shell out nearly $20. And it's likely to get worse.

While the mighty buck has fallen against most major currencies, it has lost ground against the rupee due to an influx of foreign capital into India. "We expect a slight appreciation of the rupee to continue, although it won't be as dramatic as last year," said Agam Gupta, head of foreign exchange trading at Standard Chartered Bank in India.

Don’t know about you, but I am feeling a wee bit embarrassed about this. It was not too long ago that a pocket full of America dollars in any foreign country was cause for envy. Now we have to glance out the corners of both eyes before reaching into our pockets and purses to pull out a few greenbacks. It almost feels dirty.

Thanks Bush. Again you have proved you aren’t worth a falling dollar.

See No Evil
